LionNet Award From LionNet British Columbia

April Meetings: On April 14,

Dave Reichle, President of the CORRE organization, will tell us about the current status and activities of that group. The Coalition of Oak Ridge Retired Employees has been working very hard to obtain equitable adjustments to the income of retired workers in Oak Ridge to account for loss purchasing power due to inflation. See their web site at: http://www.corre.info. The group needs you and your cooperation in order to help you.

And then - - - - - - - - - - - - On Monday, April 28,

Oak Ridge Site Specific Advisory Board member Steve Stow will give an overview of the board and the Department of Energy's environmental cleanup program. Steve is the Director of the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge. The board is an independent, federally appointed citizens’ panel that provides advice and recommendations to DOE. The board was formed in 1995 and is composed of 20 members, chosen to reflect the diversity of gender, race, occupation, views, and interests of persons living near the DOE Oak Ridge Reservation.

Oak Ridge Lions Slate of Lions nominated for club offices for the coming year is included in this month's bulletin.

A Continual Reminder: See Lion Bob Reynolds to secure and use Kroger Care Certificates for your Holiday Shopping; the money goes to our Contribution for Operation KidSight Outreach to help with Vision Screening.
